It all started with a seed
In a city worn down by dust and heat, a group of young people decided to plant a first seedling near the meeting of the two Niles. A small step — but it was the beginning.
We plant today… for a greener tomorrow.
A youth-led volunteer initiative planting trees and flowers, and greening streets, schools and public squares across Khartoum.
In a city worn down by dust and heat, a group of young people decided to plant a first seedling near the meeting of the two Niles. A small step — but it was the beginning.
Every week volunteers head out with seedlings and tools. Trees rise along streets, schools and the banks of the Nile, and residents join in to water and care for them.
Small actions add up. Every tree shades a street, every garden gives the city a place to breathe. This is the Khartoum we are planting together.
Working together for a greener, more beautiful Khartoum.
We choose suitable sites, plant trees and care for them along streets and in public parks.
MoreWe beautify public spaces with flowers and plants to bring life and colour.

More
Our city deserves to be greener and more beautiful.
We believe environmental improvement begins with practical action from inside the community: a tree planted on a street, flowers added to a school yard, a public space brought back to life.
We involve young people, schools and neighbourhoods in building a new culture of caring for the city — because a green Khartoum is not a distant dream, but small daily work that adds up.
It started with a conversation between friends about the state of the streets after summer, and a simple question: why don't we start?
The first ten volunteers joined through friends and social media, and we agreed on the first planting site.
We planted our first neem tree on a side street. It was small, but it was the beginning.
Our first complete project: the Africa Road median — 60 trees and 22 volunteers over four work days.
We launched the school-greening programme with school administrations and students, so students themselves care for the plants.
Today the team has more than a hundred volunteers, projects in several neighbourhoods, and a network of schools and supporters.
Every green dot on the map is a step toward a better city.
